SIFU GIN FOON MARK
MANY CANDLES LIT FROM HIS FIRE LIVE ON
We at the Philadelphia branch of SPM are very proud of Sifu Phil Le who studied with me for several years under the Sifu Mark Foon lineage. He went on to spend years with Sifu John Clark and studied with Sifu Louie Jack Man through him. Here are some recent videos of Phil. One was a interview with Kevin Lee on YouTube and the other a recent demonstration in Taishan China at the Grand Master Tang Fong Memorial Hall Unveiling Ceremony for all Hung Gar lineages under Tang Fong, who was a student of Wong Fei Hung.

Kwong Sai Jook Lum Tong Long Pai
Kwong Sai Jook Lum Gee Tong Long Pai (Kwong Sai Province, Bamboo Forest Monastery Praying Mantis Family) is a martial art founded by Monk Sam Dot and passed down directly to Master Gin Foon Mark in an unbroken lineage. Studying within Sifu Mark’s school since the early seventies, Joe McSorley—certified teacher as well as a disciple of Gin Foon Mark Sifu -leads Philadelphia's Kwong Sai Jook Lum Branch in the traditions as taught to him by Mark Sifu. We emphasize real time application of the techniques and the foundation behind them. Here within the Philadelphia Pai, Joe is interested in teaching what works in the real world, in real time; not the theoretical. Practicing to swim next to a pool will never yield an ability to swim—jumping into the water is necessary.
It is our aim to maintain, preserve and pass on the art of Kwong Sai Jook Lum Tong Long Kuen. Southern Mantis is a cultural art, an analog treasure in a digital age. It is our mission to transfer this art to future generations that they may glean from it the wisdom so many have sought generations before.
